In May 2026 IONA Hospitality began operating Mercure Tirana, a 74-room Accor hotel in the centre of the Albanian capital, together with its Lumière restaurant. The hotel is run under a lease by IONA Hospitality, which acts as the management company of the franchised Accor hotels in Albania.
Mercure Tirana marks the group's step from independent hotels into international brands, and it is the first of three Accor-branded properties IONA has secured, ahead of Novotel Tirana Centre (2027) and Swissôtel Qerret (2028).
